چکیده
Apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) is an important fruit crop and member of the Prunus genus Rosaceae family that planted in many temperate regions worldwide. The quality assessed by pomological parameters which can serve as a decisive factor apricot breeding, because introduction new cultivars required. These differ with climate conditions, geographical location or geographic ecological origin. Similarly, another biological characteristic be measured depending on these terms. present study was conducted aim estimating traits together nuclear DNA content 35 different origins. Only CV values lower than 5% were considered flow cytometry analysis. All analyzed diploid genome size value ranged from 0.587 to 0.644 pg/2C, where Turkish apricots reached highest (on average 0.628 pg/2C) followed European group 0.625 pg/2C). A Spearman-rank correlation used found for specific groups cultivars. related botanical species P. mume, sibirica ansu showed very similar values.

Antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of bitter and sweet apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) kernels.
The present study describes the in vitro antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of methanol and water extracts of sweet and bitter apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) kernels. The antioxidant properties of apricot kernels were evaluated by determining radical scavenging power, lipid peroxidation inhibition activity and total phenol content measured with a DPPH test, the thiocyanate method and the Fol...

Industrialization releases significant amounts of various air pollutants such as F, Cd, Pb, particulate matter, etc., which can in turn have a deleterious effect on a variety of biochemical and physiological processes as well as the structural organization within the cells. Responses from plants species to air pollutants is varied with certain species being very sensitive to such pollutants, en...

متن کاملPurification and Characterization of Latent Polyphenol Oxidase from Apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.)
Polyphenol oxidase from apricot (Prunus armeniaca) (PaPPO) was purified in its latent form (L-PaPPO), and the molecular weight was determined to be 63 kDa by SDS-PAGE. L-PaPPO was activated in the presence of substrate at low pH. The activity was enhanced by CuSO4 and low concentrations (≤ 2 mM) of SDS. PaPPO has its pH and temperature optimum at pH 4.5 and 45 °C for catechol as substrate. It s...
